Erm, they are planning to finish this season C.

The current L 1 season end scheduled for July 25
By trying not to start too late next season, the LFP wants above all not to jeopardize the first installments of Mediapro, the main broadcaster of the Championship between 2020 and 2024. The Spanish group must pay € 780 million annually for the L1. Canal + must pay € 330 million per year and Free € 50 million. For Ligue 2, the fees are € 64 million per year, shared between Mediapro (€ 34 million) and beIN Sports (€ 30 million).
In addition, in the scheme imagined by the LFP, the current season, stopped on the eve of the 29th day, if it resumes, should end on July 17 for Ligue 2 and July 25 for League 1. The will is to leave some room for play-offs and play-offs and have it all done by August 2. Knowing that the end of the European cups (Champions League and Europa League) could be played in August.

No, cancellation

It’ll be a pro rata payment for the games missed that they’ll have to pay back. Which will be a small % and they’ll probably settle on some extra games next year and a few other perks instead.

They won’t have to pay the full amount back regardless of how many times Liverpool fans claim they will.

This is it basically. I agree with your earlier post as well, it looks to me as if each organisation is getting their ducks in a row to demonstrate they wanted to play. The quieter things are, the more I'm convinced we cancel.

As for the money back, I think you are correct. Getting money back Sky have already paid will be very difficult for them. And if that was their intention, they will likely also void payments for football played outside of the calendar. I mean it's some bizarre thinking to think in option one Sky are going to take unprecedented legal action, but in another scenario the same organisation are just going to let breaches of contract just slide.

The logical position is, you lose the money for lost games. Very quickly, we are going to get to a point that we either save the next 9-10 games, or we try to save an entire season. Most of the warnings are currently about losing 9-10 games. It will be awful, but the game might survive. If you write off an entire season though, I don't think football can make it through. Such a position would be football voting itself out of existence. The price is much too high to complete a season months after it ended.

Seems to be saying it has to be completed by the end of July? Is it possible to finish 1 season on the 25th of July, while starting the next in mid August (as they seem to want too)? How are sides going to recruit in time?

Look right, this pales into everything else of course, but I honestly think its going to be a long, long, long time till we are able to attend a footy match.

Thats all ive got really.

You paid for next season btw? They’ve been ultra quiet so far on what they’re gonna do

Norwich and I think Leicester have said refunds or deferred compensation on next season if this season isn’t concluded

Yep, buggers still taking monthly payments.
