Cancelling this season's Premier League

Should football be canceled until August and this season declared null and void?

Looks like the forum bell end bully Mutzo is at it again with his quite frankly weird accusations. Very sad excuse of a Blue with his aggressive attitude towards fellow Evertonians.
Funny thing is mate. Sometimes you have to play the flanking move in order to flush out the real dangers.

Of all those listed only you and PPT raised objections to being called out as kopites. So given PPT is Citeh, that leaves just you. Now I know you're a Blue, but you're also a danger. Hence the subterfuge.

In fact you've had more accounts on here than Chico and most have them are banned.

Shall I name a few?

@Archie Knox
@Big Fat Sam
@earl_barrett
@Nil status niasse optimum
@Ghost of bolassie
@Butters

So Butters now we've established who you really are there's only one thing left to say.

Pipe down Butters... There's a good lad

To the premier league and all the RS lurking on this site, here’s how it is in reality...

We just don’t care anymore about this season, who wins the league etc. Award it to whoever you like you’re increasingly irrelevant the longer this goes on. We’re an ordinary family, season ticket holders at the clubs we support. Every day my brother (Everton), my sister-in-law (Villa) and until very recently my sister (Man Utd) go out to work on the NHS frontline dealing with COVID. My sister who has already worked many weeks in this fight saving many more people than those who’ve died (even before it became national news) managed to bring home a mild version of COVID which has then infected her husband (Man City) and 2 young daughters.

My wife and all her family (Liverpool) would give up football forever if it saves the life of any of my sister’s family. So understaffed are they right now that In a matter of a few days having nursed her family with no rest she’ll be past the nhs staff isolation period and being rushed back to the frontline.

You, the Premier League, are no longer relevant in the lives of courageous, innocent and ordinary people’s lives.
You my friend have won the intenet today!!!...hope your family are all well & i especially hope that your family members connected with the NHS stay safe❤️❤️❤️

Thanks mate. It’s what we pray for every day they go to work. Shouldn’t be like that because they work in hospitals. But it is. Frankly it’s an emotional strain on the whole family. When my sister’s eldest daughter (7) got the mild version we feared the worst. She’s ok now but this thing is virulent. Her husband is on the improving side we hope after 9 days ill. You’re talking about a woman with many many years experience in healthcare who volunteered to change departments and go into covid front line duties.

Personally I salute the many unknown other heroes in the nhs who have transferred to the front line like this at great personal risk. What I don’t think most people understand is that once this virus is even at minimal infection levels, the tens of thousands of people who’ve switched roles are already exhausted, denied annual leave etc. So it shouldn’t be the case that football should just start up again quickly, the whole healthcare system needs time to recover before they can cope with multiple mass events.

At the moment as my sister puts it, they’re still losing a war against an enemy they can’t see.

Football is not doing it’s image any good whatsoever during this crisis.

It’s long been seen as a bit grubby and increasingly all about the money anyway, but stuff like the PFA advising players to not move on pay cuts and seeing the greedy chairmen completely focussed on playing out the remaining games in whatever nonsense format they can get away with, in order to remove the TV / sponsors clawbacks, whilst doing so under the guise of ‘the integrity of the league’ is truly nauseating.

The latest being the PFA saying a pay cut would be bad for the NHS. Sums up football today. Greed beyond belief. Hipefully things take a change after all this

Disgusting mate. I can’t believe how many are actually falling for it as well ffs.

Dressing up their greed as being somehow altruistic, and using the NHS as the lead in, is absolutely rotten to the core.

It’s akin to me furloughing my entire workforce and then telling the staff that the senior management and me will continue to take our full wages, as we pay more tax than you plebs, so it’s for the greater good innit. Get in the effing bin.

And deferral as well. I'm confused

Is anyone else getting the arse with this sport in general? Its becoming a bit like the emperors new clothes for me. Football thinks its above everything else with these narcissistic announcements , unrealistic deadlines and “meetings”. Gonna cancel Sky Spurts regardless what happens
I know it's only been a few weeks but I've previously said on here that I've not actually missed watching football, which is something I wouldn't have expected.

I've missed the match and by that I mean the atmosphere and the environment, but not football itself. Right now, like @evo1878 rightly says, it's irrelevant.

The only people who are really concerned about this are Liverpool for their own reasons, alongside Celtic etc., and UEFA and FIFA for their own greed.

Oh, and well done @Mutzo Nutzo for saying what I expect most people have been thinking.

PFA not being clear on numbers either. They put NHS front and centre of a £200m Government Tax. A google search (so could be wrong) shows 20% of tax goes to NHS, so that's £40m of NHS money.

I also assume this is over a whole year (my maths isn't great), so it's under £1m a week for the NHS. We are not asking wage cuts to cover a whole year, we are asking for it week by week until we are in a safe position and people can get back to work and NHS can cope.

The average premier league wage is £60k a week. So 20 teams of 25 first team players (£30m) on a 30% cut gives £9m a week. So teams could ensure £1m goes to NHS and £8m goes to staff, NHS (further support) lower league football and community charities.

And this is before Managers, Coaches, Chairmen, Directors, Board Members etc chip in from their tiny wages
