Cancelling this season's Premier League

Should football be canceled until August and this season declared null and void?

Inappropriate Behaviour
Go and push a few walls over lad. It’ll make you feel better. Other than that why don’t you do one back to rawk and hang out with the rest of the vermin.

your one sad bellend coming onto a rivals forum and pretending to be a fan.

Says the deranged kopite.

BBC: The Women's European Championship - set to be held in England in 2021 - will be moved to the summer of 2022

Brescia owner has said they’ll forfeit rest of Serie A games if forced to play. The powers that be in football are starting to really sour public opinion of them. The clubs laying staff off before cutting player an exec wages hasn’t gone down well, neither has the constant proposals on how games could still be carried out. Other sports with far less money swilling around have just made sensible decisive moves to cancel events even as far out as July, whereas football keeps going on about coming back in May or June. Football isn’t important at a time like this but it feels as though this will be a moment of reckoning for it with the public starting to see the horrific greed of these teams. Might be easy to overlook when times are good but if we carry on with this health crisis and a financial one follows then the normal football fan in this country will not want to see players being paid 200k a week or being bought for 150 million if there’s no jobs and the economy is in pieces.

It means more, that’s why

They have grown up believing everything a bald Jock messianic figure said in the ‘60s to be the word of God.

”people say football is a matter of life and death....it’s not....it is much more important than that”.

That is the Gospel according to the cult of Kopitism.

And the RS status as a cult has never been more in evidence than it is right now.

With the league on hold and therefore no games being played surely a club like Man City (OF ALL TEAMS) shouldn't be cheating their fans out of money?

No they shouldn't. It's a disgrace to be truthful.
A significant chunk of us pay for our season tickets by monthly direct debit.
All they need to do is suspend the direct debit payments until the season resumes (if it does).
But no. They continue to suck the money out of our accounts. The good news is that the DD
scheme is for 10 months of the year and ceases at the end of this month.
There is a huge disconnect between match going City fans and the people running the club.
It has been happening for years and it is actually getting worse. The one thing and the one thing
only they are interested in is money. They constantly try to 'monetize' the fans. They are not interested
in the normal, loyal match going fans who have been going for years through the thick and thin (with a lot of
thin during the past 40 years!). They simply want the overseas tourist fans who will pay silly prices for
tickets and spend a fortune on over priced food and drink in the stadium and a small fortune in club shop
before and after the game. They openly promote 'the match day experience' (whatever that is?) We have
cringeworthy pre match and half time 'entertainment'. Silly videos played before the game narrated by some
one trying to put on a Manchester accent. It is toe curlingly bad! As long as the stadium is full, they don't care.
We have an average of something like a 97% attendance per game (which included season ticket holders who
don't attend - like all other clubs). So they just ramp it up. They have to be careful. They really do.
This crisis is focusing a lot of peoples minds and as we all know, football fans have very long memories...

The right thing to do.

On the subject of season ticket payments, I'm sure once an official decision is made like the season is cancelled then the club will either repay the money of those games back or if like me you've renewed for next season on a 12 month direct debit they will either change the DD payments so I pay a bit less or I only end up paying 10/11 months worth

Nothing will be done until things are official, so hurry up and cancel the league lol

They could easily suspend the DD payments until things are resolved.
My gym has done just that. But football clubs can't or more like won't?
The professional game really is showing itself up for what it is.
