Its the only way.
Yes the likes of Leeds etc may be dissapointed if they dont gain promotion but the legal ramifications of ending it early and calling relegation promotion etc at that point would be unprecedented.
The question I have though is say Liverpool have mathematically won it then the league gets suspended but they cant rearrange the fixtures etc and have to void it. What happens? Surely you cant void a whole season but still have winners?
I know this will sound biased as an Evertonian, but because every other position in the league would be up for grabs, the only option is to declare it null and void - as in it never happened. It wouldn't matter if they'd mathematically won it because they wouldn't have completed the sanctioned 38 games for the season. It'd be like saying once you mathematically win it you can forfeit the rest of the games - you can't.
