Can we win the league in the next 10 years?

Very likely not if you ignore the Leicester experience. The gap in class on the pitch is huge and unbridgeable in the short term. Our target should be to attain what Arsenal did, with many (18?) consecutive years in the Champions League always in the hope of maybe wining our league, the European Cup and domestic cups.

We can but we need to be patient. It takes time and its not like when Chelsea got took over and they only had to pass 2 teams we need to pass 6 teams who are also in decent positions. I think as long as we keep progressing we need to give Silva 3 years to get us amongst the teams above then maybe another 2 or 3 for a serious challenge.

Leicester have shown that it is possible to win the league without having huge amounts of cash and without following Sky's agenda, but in hindsight it's a blip.

You can see how much the likes of that shower across the park, Arsenal and Spurs have spent in recent years - Spurs less so with regards to net spend.

Add to that, when you consider the quality they've had and it's still evaded them, then it is difficult to believe it's realistic. But, ultimately, yes it is possible.

We would need to have a really good manager, inform players (with quality so a fair wedge of cash) and momentum to achieve it, yet it has be our target.

If I'm entirely honest however, I think we need to first set the target of achieving regular Champions League football and some silverware to rid our back luck.

Who knows where things will be 10 years from now. In January 2009 would anyone have bet on City winning 3 titles by 2019? Not saying we can do that but things do change.

If good, solid foundations are there then yes we can.
