So you don't want him to play because you don't rate him? Very strange. He's part of this squad and the more games he gets under his belt the more he'll contribute. His fitness will only help Everton.

Although I rate Baines highly, if a fan doesn't rate a player, he/she usually would prefer if such a player didn't play ahead of players they do rate.

It's a pre-season game. It doesn't really matter does it? The more players we get minutes on the pitch the better we'll be.

I don't rate Neville but I still want him to play. He's going to be part of the squad next season so we'll need him as fit as possible. Same goes for Baines.

Whats strange about it? Why would a player i don't rate playing in any capacity? The 2 players i would have at lb are both playing so its all good
