Lukas signed for Everton in the middle of the 06/07 season from Swindon for a fee believed to be around £1million. Despite his nationality being English, Lukas can infact play for either Poland, Lithuania or Republic of Ireland.
As a 14 year old Jutkiewicz was released from Southampton's academy but only three years later Lukas was handed a proffessional contract and made his debut for Swindon Town in a 2-1 defeat to Swansea in April 2006.
In the 06/07 season, Lukas scored five vital goals in Swindon's push to gain promotion to League one and impressing Everton scouts. In the summer of 2007 his transfer to Everton was completed and he struck an instant strike relationship with fellow Everton teenage forward Victor Anichebe in pre season by scoring at Gigg Lane against Bury.
The 18 year old has continued to recieve rave reviews after sensational performances for the reserve team including a spectacular 25 yard volley against an experienced Sunderland side.
In the January transfer window (2008), Lukas joined Championship side Plymouth Argyle on loan until the end of the season, making just one start and two substitute appearances for the Pilgrims before returning to Everton.
