So being a member of a trophy winning side entitles you to a job regardless of ability?
Absolutely not, but what qualifies Cahill? We know nothing of his coaching ability.

The opinions of him being a good coach are based on him putting in effort as a player.

@davek type post this Groucho, I'll bite. Bob Latchford didn't win a trophy either, and Duncan Ferguson wasn't half the player he was, the big galoot.
Mick Lyons etc...

I get the ethic to be honest. But as on the pitch, we have a 'nice' streak in us, which is destroying any drive, or ambition. It stinks of 'this is how we do things around here'.

The oldboys mafia.

Or it could just be that we don't spend as much money on our players as the elite teams so end up with inferior players, which gives the false impression there's an issue with our coaches.

Two of the three you’d sack there are Everton trophy winners.

Cahill won nothing.

Don't understand that, he still won nothing?

What makes you think he’d be a bad coach?

Or does one need to come up through the lower divisions of coaching to make it to the top, in your view?
Past performance as a player can in no way indicate future performance as a coach

So to your 2nd part yes...previous lower professional grade and / or somewhere else coaching 'might' give a better indication.

This is Nutters paradise on here .They are condemned if they do and condemned if they don't .How can the fact he doesn't have a coaching badge condemn him .He is not on the staff and is just at Finch Farm .It is the same with every single player sh1t before we sign him and sh1t after ,no one makes the grade .And a player who has played less than two games is going to be the saviour .Get a grip lads and lasses .International players are average just because it fits the agenda ,I think a few should have a look at themselves -supporters ? My rear end, just internet gladiators with nothing better to do .
