....bit surprised, I thought he’d exploit the Australia/Asia market where he’s a superstar. My favourite Everton player of the modern era, but fine players don’t always make fine coaches and the club already houses too many ex-players on the coaching staff.

Nice to see him back, though.
Unless I've misread it he's not on the coaching staff, just using our facillities while working towards his badges.

The ex players we have on the coaching staff where all mediocre at best, had some heart yes, but none of them where special.

Cahill at least was successful at international level and clearly had some drive.

Boa Morte, Ferguson & Unsworth? i'd sack them all in a shot.
 
If any of these lightweights we have in our side (apart from Digne) had his heart and desire to do as much as you can, we could actually have a decent side.

i think thats the number 1 problem, after watching everton for nearly 35+ years, i've yet to see any heart in about 15 years, Goughy, Watson, Cahill & Ferguson, Carlsey too, but these absolutely shower of salary thieves should be shot out of a cannon, not a single leader between them.
