Buying From La Liga

Sociedad and Bilbao arent in the same fiscal mess as the rest of la liga, sorry chaps.

We would never buy Joaquin though, his (victorious) row with Koeman means that I doubt Moyes would want to take him on.

I think the Spanish league is no longer in the top 2 leagues in the world. The quality of the teams has got worse this season, attendances looked very poor. Particularly Sevilla as they used to always have near sell outs and looked practically empty on Saturday.
I think after the Premier League the German or Italian leagues are probably the second strongest now, with the French and Russian leagues looking increasingly competitive.

That low attendance at Sevilla was part of a protest against del Nido, but yes the standard of the league is not the highest (though the entertainment on offer still is, if there is a better game this month than Bilbao 3 Betis 5 this season I would love to see it).

Looking at either here or kipper the blues were rumoured be be interested in a striker or a playmaking midfielder and not Joao Moutinho ( I think that ship has long since sailed ) .Obviously Emerson Thome recommends players but I'd say the biggest problem is that finances have been so tight the blues could not even take a gamble on buying somebody

Thanks.There are bargains there but again I don't think the blues have the money to buy 2 or 3 of these players and hope one of them is a hit .

Joaquin is like an exotic Peter Beagrie. I would .rather have Xavi Prieto from Real Sociedad. Eliseu from Malaga also.

Perhaps theres a caveat though, in no defenders! Case in point, Ramis for Wigan against Chelsea, ouch! He may get better but.....midfield, striker, thats probably best......

Ramis wasnt that bad, it was after all Hazard making him look like a [Poor language removed].

The ex Baggies midfielder Borja Valero has always impressed me; very similar to Arteta in style and abilty. Just seen he left Villareal after their relegation for Fiorentina in the summer though.
