Dare anyone suggest it.....

We have not improved on last year despite spending 40 odd million.

What is concerning is that we havent improved but offered big contracts out for players to still play at the same level. So far we have won against crap teams and struggled against any team who dared to give us a game and lost to both Burnley and Bournemouth!

And my other worry.....nothing has changed. Last season we beat terrible teams and struggled elsewhere, this season is following the same pattern. When you change the manager and still get the same results then you have to question what the issue is. How long did people say for 2 years it was 'one of those games'? And also remember we didn't look that good winning this season so far either.

We are far too sentimental with our players. How long did we keep Howard in the team with all the times he cost us? The same is happening with Jagielka. The same is happening with players like Mirallas. How long has he been here now? And his best competition has come from the likes of Kone and Aaron Lennon, a Spurs reject. Even '60,000' Coleman, when has he actually consistently played well?

Someone in our squad will have a good game and everyone gets blinkered into thinking their starting spot is safe. Lack of genuine world class players and lack of squad competition has been our shortfall for 20 years. I share your concerns, and I think on the way to change we are going to experience games like this. Just hopefully we have the right owners and right management now to take us forward.

Any game is sickening to lose but this one takes the biscuit. Could easily have been 2 up early on, but were lethargic from then on and then gift them a goal with a poor mistake from stek.
Team obviously had a deserved rocket at half time, bosses 2nd half and when we got the equaliser there was going to be only one winner from then on. But then Oviedo who had had a decent game up till then gives away a needless free kick and arnfield scores the winner when he should have been sent off start of the 2nd half.
I'm tired of seeing players make the same mistakes over and over again. Koeman is a good manager but maybe some of the players aren't as good as we believe or certainly not as good as they think they are. There are absolutely no excuses for the performance for the last half hour of the first half. Koeman has made some signings that have improved us - stek (even though he was at fault today) Williams and Gana (who was mom yet again). Jury still very much out on bolasie. As I alluded to in the match thread, some of our under 23 lads (Davies, dowell and Walsh) need to be looked at as offensively Barkley, miralles and geri are not providing the service to Lukaku. I feel that some of these players are playing for their futures as I feel koemans patience is wearing thin.

The overreaction on here. If we had scored any of those 20 or so chances we had after our first goal and won, we'd all be on to the next match. Fine margins and all that. We're not quite good enough, but people need to stop setting themselves on fire. We'll be ok.

We did not so much give up a game today, we just did not have the drive and more importantly, the creative ability to put the game to bed. Certain attacking players needed too many touches (sign of low confidence). We lacked any cohesive plan, not enough intelligent movement, offered no threat on the left, and there was no heart in midfield. The possession stats says it all. We have seen it time and time again.

No room for sense in here
They want blood and can't blame Clev today
