Players have completely downed tools and are incapable of concentrating at the required level for 90 mins. Some of them treat games as though it's a big joke. Jagielka came out like an aled up carthorse straight out the boozer in that game.

They wanted a less complicated style than Martinez wanted - they get it and they cant even deal with running around.

Was listening and the commentators reckons he was good defensively today, but conceded the free kick leading to the goal.

His defending was fine, but then i suppose Burnley never really put us under much pressure (yet somehow managed to get two goals) so you'd expect that. Don't recall there being a free kick for either of their goals though?

Barkley disappointing again today. Not like we have much of an alternative though! Mirallas could have done more too, not sure whats happened with him. At one time he was one of our most dangerous players whenever he was on the pitch, now he seems to struggle to make much impact. Gueye was very good so not sure why Koeman replaced him with Clev?!

We seem to lack cohesion as a unit in the final third, with too many passes a fraction off and wasteful crosses from decent positions. The lack of guile and creativity is still a concern (and how long has that been a problem!) which can only really be sorted with a few new faces. Would love to see us start to rectify that in January but won't hold my breath.

As much as their first goal was signed, sealed, delivered, fair play to Burnley for not giving up and getting the three points.

Dare anyone suggest it.....

We have not improved on last year despite spending 40 odd million.

What is concerning is that we havent improved but offered big contracts out for players to still play at the same level. So far we have won against crap teams and struggled against any team who dared to give us a game and lost to both Burnley and Bournemouth!

And my other worry.....nothing has changed. Last season we beat terrible teams and struggled elsewhere, this season is following the same pattern. When you change the manager and still get the same results then you have to question what the issue is. How long did people say for 2 years it was 'one of those games'? And also remember we didn't look that good winning this season so far either.

It's football. Burnley (imo) will be relegated. We will finish around 9th.
But we are presently a million miles away from being (even) CL contenders.

PS I am not superstitious but Everton does seem to be a club that has a LOT of horrible fortune.

Oh well, as my dearly departed Dad used to say: "such is life"
How is it bad fortune mate? Same players giving you the same results for three seasons so it should tell those at Everton all they need to know.

We have no attacking threat for long periods of seasons apart from Lukaku so find it hard to score more than one goal per game for long spells of the season.

Not an issue of bad fortune. Mismanagement I'll accept as a more appropriate description really.
