Burnley Case

Pathetic. All clubs signed up to the PL, their rules and consequently the punishments. The PL chose not to rule on it until the following season. Burnley’s case is therefore with the PL for their management of it.

Precedence is set. Man City should be in for a battering in the courts technically,
Pl giving judgment on City's case, "We found no sporting advantage was gained but financial breaches were found and a fine of 1 million per breach totaling 115 million pounds" They will get them off legally by stating no sporting advantage.

This has all the hallmarks of when sheff utd sued west ham. Sheff utd kept suing and suing until they got the result or ££££ wanted. Can see Burnley doing this until they get ££££. Does set dangerous precedent though.

Like chelsea, wouldn't surprise me if for city they put something along the lines that no sporting advantage on the pitch (or something lile unable to confirm sporting advantage) which will save them, same as chelsea, having to pay any compensation...the reality is that we will probably be the only club ever to have to pay compensation and the last one too...every day, I feel less and less engaged with anything related to everton which is sad after so many years supporting the club.

“Evertonians can be assured that ownership are focused, with strengthened resolve, on delivering their vision of returning Everton to the top echelon of English football.”

Yeah I don’t believe that for a second

In all seriousness, does this mean that Burnley (thus far) have managed to "attract" better lawyers than us? Sort it, Everton FFS

It's just another joke, isn't it? The Premier League needs investigating. I can't get my head around how you can rule in Burnley's favour based on hypothetical scenarios that can never be proven. It's utterly ridiculous.

Football is becoming a complete circus. It takes all the fun out of it. I'm sick of all the messing around, just wanna watch the match with my kids.

In a way, I hope it does go through. The whole thing will descend into chaos and expose the Premier League for the farce it has become. How can you hand out compensation based on an alternative version of events that nobody can possibly prove ever would have happened?
