Burnley Case

3 person panel you say?

Who are these 3 goons on this panel?
Sounds like John Aldridge is the chairperson.
  • David Phillips KC (Chair): A highly experienced, top-tier sports barrister who oversaw the panel's proceedings.
  • Alan Greenwood: A legal and commercial dispute specialist who served as a member of the commission.
  • Nick Igoe: A finance expert and former football club executive who provided essential financial oversight for the complex accounting case

"This ruling sets a dangerous and unworkable precedent for English football, given it is constructed on a principle that a club can be in breach of financial rules at any point in a financial year.

Sounds like we’re going on the grounds that the breach was too late to have impacted the season in question….

The fact that they gave the three dullards from the original panel another opportunity to put the boot in to Everton, just speaks volumes about the biases and incompetance of the PL. Im sure this might be a minority opinion BUT I hope that Man City's lawyers rang rings around them and the whole thing got thrown out. Citeh won the league because they were the better team, end of, not because they overinflated loans or naming right deals. Do they have more money than most if not all other teams yes...Liverpool has more money than us...does the PL do anything to ensure we can compete with them? Not a chance. Why shouldnt Citeh spend more than Liverpool if they can? Liverpool have no problems or no rules preventing them spending more than us and about 16 other clubs...this is not about parity or fairness, it is about the MEGARICH US consortiums not being able to compete with FILFTHY rich Arab owners so they do what US Consortiums do...head to court and shape the rules in their favour.
I cannot imagine how a decision against Citeh will do anything but benefit the likes of Liverpool and the others who wanted their Super League and games in New York...as an Everton fan, and football fan, why would I want to see that? Lastly, look at the world right now, look at the World Cup and all that political and financial drama. It is the filthy rich owners, Forest, Newcastle and Citeh that prevent us being completely run by Trump Jr. hedgefund money. Dont really want to see Elon Musk's Liverpool vs Dondald Trump's Chelsea on the back lawn of the White House, but like I said this is just my opinion.

Pathetic. All clubs signed up to the PL, their rules and consequently the punishments. We have now suffered a points punishment and now two financial punishments. Burnley’s case should be for compensation from the PL as it was the PL who chose not to rise on it to the following season.

Precedence is set. Man City should be in for a battering in the courts technically,
