You can beg to differ for another 24 years. Slavs will still not magically turn into Macedonians. :)

It's Fyrom.

My family is from Vergina (pella). It does not get more Macedonian than that ::) and Macedonians are Greek.

I'm sorry if you believe otherwise but this is a red line subject and there is no debate.

I would not even agree to disagree on it.

Pella?

Isn't that where Alexander came from?

Shouldnt be too hard for Young Boys to track down those that pelted Stones with Missiles.

The cream of humanity on display in some of those kippers

I see some see this win as a turning point .Good game certainly, although I think that the Young Boys have a defense at the level of the League 1 and that they played tactically naive, especially after leading 1 0. Let's wait for Leicester and see if we can repeat this with them.Pleased with Lukaku last night and Barkley has some room to get hes curage back.

This is the thing.

Leicester.

We are capable of anything when teams are wanting to attack us......we can soak up pressure and we can exploit gaps at the back.

The problems in recent months have been when teams have parked the bus.

An early goal woukd be great in Sunday, just to make sure they have to venture out :)

Yes Both Vergina AND Pella were both the capitals of Macedonia:)

It's also where all the Macedonian royal tombs are found. Phillip II (Alexander's Father) is buried in Vergina.

Anything that has anything to do with Macedonian history is in Greece and not in FYROM. The Amphipolis Tomb is another example of this. This is because Macedonia was a Greek kingdom and not SLAVIC, Bulgarian or Serbian.

Don't think anyone from modern day would deny the history of Alexander's origins? Did Macedonia encompass that region delineated now? Anyhow this is an Everton thread!

I think this is true. Although we were great last night, they came at us. I am still to be convinced that we can break down stubborn, park the bus type defences. For me, width and creativity in the centre are the key in these games. I think Naismith is a good strong player but in these type of games I don't think he is good value. Id play Mirallas Barkley and Lennon in behind Lukaku against Leicester. Id also give Besic a bit of freedom to get forward if they are really sad deep. We need to get at them from the off, not give them a chance to settle and we should win easy.

I love the Greek attitude towards this. Go away, you don't even exist Macedonia.

Also see: Constantinople, never Istanbul.
