He has been dining out far too long on that goal against utd no where near good enough, nor as back up get shut.

Hope he leaves this window, does my head in does Bryan.

Has he got a position that he's actually any good at?

If we need an LB to support Baines bring back Garbutt.

He's back:

I think you're right. He's the type of player we'd of adored 10 years ago and generally most fans really like the bloke now, but he's not at the calibre we need to push into the top 4 if we're being honest. Cleverley fits into that bracket too but he's not as lovable. Decent squad player but aim higher now.
Cleverley and Oviedo are both decent players who might do well in a firm structure with the right blend. Anyone remember when Ratcliffe was just an OK left back?
Not everybody in a team needs to be a superstar and both those players give 100%. Lets just see how in pans out.

Good but I do mean for good, me I still think he can come good. Rm did not like him!

That's not true, He signed a new 5 year deal with RM as manager, wouldn't have done so if he wasn't told he was working towards replacing Baines.

Garbutt was always going to be better off being loanead out last year rather than being Baines' understudy.

We've been here before with Bryan

Barbarians at the gate calling for his head

Then Old Trafford happened

Bryan is a good player and fine as back up

He can tackle, he can get forward when required and he works hard for the cause

Everyone saying "he's not good enough for a top 4 team" are totally missing the point

You need a squad to win things and some guys will be the stars and some guys will be the work horses who back those stars up

Oviedo is one of the work horses

He's a good hand, and we need some of those at the moment, especially as Garbutt is still young and hasn't had the best of seasons at Fulham. He needs Oviedo there as competition so he doesn't get complacent and settle in as Baines heir apparent without earning it first

We also have literally no back up options for LM at the moment, and Bryan has the versatility to give that position a go. He just wants to play and he'll play where ever he's asked

A player with his versatility is valuable and I don't want to see him leave unless we get an excellent offer for him

I personally think Koeman is going to like him. How could you not like him?

We need to start selling some playes. Too many times I read on here, give another chance, X didn't like. The bottom line is that we have a very unbalanced squad, some very good players but too many average. We need more balance and much more quality throughout. Some of these players you are saying to keep are not suddenly going to be good enough.
