The US have had a free ride to the world cup, playing no real competition at all for a few decades, celebrating draws as victories, and this is the result, complacency
Bruce Arena is about as inspiring as Ray Hodgson. And about as tactically masterful. We deserved to lose, even with that phantom goal.

And that's the issue. We keep trotting Tim out there b/c literally he's STILL the best we have.
They will, they'll qualify for the next 7 world cups it's not a huge setback in the long term.
But it shouldn't be overestimated just how badly they had to do to not qualify. They only needed to not lose to a team who'd lost 7 and drawn 1 of their last 8 games. It shouldn't have happened and it shouldn't be written off as one of those things.
This was their wigan qf except we'd actually played well in the games before that. They've been poor for a while and they need changes.
Yep, it was our Everton, that moment. We lose to an island nation to an ugly OG and a 45 yard missile from the touch line. Tim has to save that I don't care if it was an actual howitzer.

It all has to change. I'm sick of blindly supporting a national team and league (MLS) that refuses to allow the sport to grow. Absolutely no excuse to not qualify. Watching that match, luckily because I subscribe to BeIn, was pathetic. And while I'm on my rant, why is that match not televised on a more accessible network? I understand TV rights, but make it happen. I am able to watch Andorra play the Faroe Islands on ESPN, but not the USA's biggest match in years?

He's so arrogant. You had success in the MLS at a loaded team in LA, I just don't get it. I'd fire everyone. I'm tired of the "he's the best we can do" mentality.
Yeah, but there's a whole thread devoted to a team that haven't won in 50 years with pics of men in red kits that mocks other 'inferior' teams... you know, wum behavior at best, "that sort" of behavior at worst.
