I'm almost speechless. A failure on a level I wasn't sure was possible. Ironically comes at a time when we have the best player we've maybe ever had in Pulisic, and then this. Depressing.
I'm not really sure what you're saying, are you saying you want the English fans heads to get kicked in at the World Cup?
he took the job because he thought we'd walk it and he could say look I saved us

Exactly. That's what I'm so sick of. The fact that we were even in that situation is appalling. Imagine if we had to qualify with the South American group?
There are too many resources available. I'd completely rebuild, like Twellman said. Even the pay to play needs to be looked at. I remember my mom spending thousands of dollars for me to be on a comp. team. Families simply cannot afford it.
That might be part the reason. He's not Messi, but we sure depended upon him like he was during quals. Scored or assisted on, what, like 12 of 17 goals?
Rather than some retread "BIG NAME" manager, I'd almost want an Unsworth type who can better develop any young talent we have.
Agree 100% about Dempsey. Playing a sport that doesn't exist in Texas, and being from where he is from, absolutely gave him that chip on his shoulder. If it makes you feel any better, had Paraguay scored rather than conceded around the 85th minute last night, they'd be in and Peru out, Colombia needing a playoff to qualify. CONMEBOL has higher quality teams, but is still very CONCACAF-y.
Agree on the pay to play bs. Our best potential players are probably kicking the ball around their neighborhoods, barrios and what not rather than some academy. Might be hungrier as well... I don't doubt part of Dempsey's fire (as opposed to Landycake's wishy-washy attitude) lie in his humble upbringing.
Yeah, but there's a whole thread devoted to a team that haven't won in 50 years with pics of men in red kits that mocks other 'inferior' teams... you know, wum behavior at best, "that sort" of behavior at worst.
So will be rooting for the Colombian team and the Russian firms this summer.
Well that thread is clearly a wind up attempt from the OP and not a serious thread. I bet the OP doesn't even watch England games
I mean, it's bloody obvious
Why are you letting it bother you?
@Garrick I'm also sick of your wind up threadsWell that thread is clearly a wind up attempt from the OP and not a serious thread. I bet the OP doesn't even watch England games
I mean, it's not even like it's hidden

You do get a bit defensive about this stuff sometimes. Don't let yourself be WUMmed
And wishing Russian thugs would punch out Ingerland fans when the people pounding away at their keyboards this morning, as you pointed out, don't watch/like/support the team (and thus not likely to be the ones getting punched) isn't a clear wind-up by me?
Generally try to stay out of the squabbling on this site, but this morning don't feel like it.Thought I'd fire off as well, seeing as so many enjoy making a hobby out of pissing in the Wheaties of other blues. Sorry. Didn't realize I didn't have the authority to do so.
At the end of the day the loss stings, hard, but at least will be in impetus for us to clean house and build anew rather than stagger on a listless relic by playing just well enough to qualify and nowhere near potential, and thus keep things status quo.

Again mate, don't you think getting so annoyed is just playing into his hands?
The minute I saw that thread I immediately knew it was nonsense. Getting angry at it just gives the WUM what they want
It just seems like a kind of pointless thing to do. By replying he's already won and it's clearly not made you feel any better
I'm not saying you have no right to do, but, what's the point? The biggest F U you can send his way is no selling it and getting on with things
