Braiden Graham

I'm not sure he does. Quite sure that Moyes will be very aware of his capabilities though. I'm in the camp that agrees that hes probably not ready for this level yet. EPL is a much more physically demanding league than what hes playing, and I'm not sure now is the time to test him. It seems that from what he said he has set very high expectations on lads coming through.

I"ve not watched enough of him to make my own mind up on him, so I'll defer to the judgement of Moyes.
He was playing and scoring in the NIPL at 16, so while the quality of football won’t be EPL level, I expect the challenges / physicality would be far more ‘robust’ shall we say.

He’s the same size as Radzinski and AJ so I’m not convinced he’s not physically ready.

Not saying he should be getting a game but his record makes a compelling case for an opportunity, especially as we seem to be trying to be a bit more intricate in the final 3rd.

would knock me down with a feather Trevor if Moyes started this kid😉😂think it will be N‘Diaye myself and he’ll bring George in,normally I’d love to see Graham blooded but in this instance with the importance of the points for us I think the manager would be correct.👍

As soon our aspirations of Europe are over needs a try out from the bench imo.....

Same people calling for this lad are the same ones calling for that right back to play a couple of years ago

Was his name Dixon?
I get and agree with your point. It would be lambs to the slaughter getting him to start as a centre forward.

I do think it's slightly different to a fullback though as there being some merit to having him on the bench and throwing him on if we need a goal. Basically a wildcard option.

only thing is with that comparison is that neither radzinski or aj would be a centre forward if they came through now, certainly not at premier league level. you don’t get a chance (or succeed) if youre not 6ft+, strong, technically sound and have a good all round game

theyd play on the wing now if they came through

whereas if Graham came through in the early 00s he’d have a good chance of making it as a striker in a two

What about Kevin Philips...

He’s probably been playing the equivalent of non league maybe League 2 at a push. There’s a reason the u21’s play those teams in a cup. It’s miles away from the old reserve league. He’s playing against kids every week and against tippy happy football. Not a chance he’s mentally or physically ready, especially considering we are still going for Europe.

I’m just glad Moyes and the staff live in reality.

What's wrong with that?

It's not exactly encouraging to a player who's already been on the bench for a first team game.

For Moyes to say he's a bit off the first team standard implies regression...or worse still - that he was just making up numbers on the bench when he was included.

Moyes is an absolute arsehole.

A child lashing out because he's underlined again how clueless he is in derbies - and everyone knows it.
