Boxing

Joshua was right not to get into the ring if the fight isn’t signed. From Joshua’s perspective, the fights been close a few times to been made until Fury moves the goalposts or retires. Pointless doing a face off if it isn’t signed and delivered. Fury looked good in small parts tonight but people are been critical calling it a terrible fight and he looked awful. If fury sees the critical response, he could retire tomorrow. Joshua will get slated for fury retiring and the fight not been made. It’s a no win situation.

Turki shouldn’t have hyped it earlier on that it was a signed fight basically. Got egg on his face cos it was cringey and embarrassing. Made him look small time and an utter nerd.
Lol, I don’t think that video I posted was meant to be taken serious either, mate.
The one lads trying to press the other lads buttons by saying: ‘Can’t we just talk? Sometimes I want say hello, you know? Good morning. Can’t we be friends?’ 😂😂

Cheal Sonnen is brilliant at that mental warfare. UFC used to be great and had some characters. Wanderlei is such a loose cannon, years of PEDs mashed his brain.

He definitely ad-libbed that whole ‘Can’t we just be friends’ sarcastic dry wit bit on the spot. 😂
For sure if went over Silva’s head. It’s probably what set him off.

If the future of boxing is indeed going to have all these little staged bits, maybe it wouldn’t hurt if in addition to training, the fighters took a class or two in comedy improv, and acting. 🤔

Imo Turki's comments about someone needing to kidnap Hearn to get the fight made show's it's Hearn blocking the fight. I couldn't care less anyway, I wish the likes of Joshua, Fury, Chisora, Wilder, Whyte, Usyk etc would just retire. Imagine being a top younger HW and seeing this lot get all the money and headlining events to hoover up all the crumbs and not fight you.

Has there ever been a better business deal in history than Benn getting £15m to fight a career 140 fighter that's washed and carrying about 5 injuries up at 150? I don't blame Benn at all fair play to him. If I take him at his word that he is still a 147 fighter I still stand by my views that British Champ (maybe he's vacated now) Conah Walker fks him up.

TKV is always horrible to watch. His dad was a pro wrestler and it shows in him. I thought the stoppage was early but it only shortened the fight by 30 secs as the stoppage was inevitable.

Scouse Fly Weight Mikie Tallon seems to be loved by Turki and won on the prelims with a lovely 1st round body shot. Two scousers are top 3 in Britain at Fly and him and Brandon Daord has to be made down the line.

Big Fraze showed a big improvement. Defo should have went to Gallagher earlier. But he's a classic example of staying in the amateurs too long before turning pro. Waited his turn to go to the Olympics behind Joshua then Joyce.

He’s been managed poorly Callum Smith imo. Seems like he’s satisfied with his career and just wants the most money now. Can’t blame him for that though.

Was the card in Liverpool sold out?
Out of the loop here so just seen Smith's fight has been cancelled, miles behind lol.

Do you think he's been managed poorly? Could say he's been managed exceptionally well from his point of view - world class fighter but not pfp, quiet personality, not ambitious, and knows he won't leave a big legacy. So he fights the absolute bare rock bottom minimum to remain relevant, whilst still making very significant amounts of money.

Sucks as a fan, if he has any fans, but can't knock the game. Morell is inconsistent from what I have seen but is fundamentally better than Smith, thought he might lay on a bit of a leathering tbh. Wonder if they will reschedule?

Due to his talent just think he could have had much bigger fights in his career. Had a wonderful career and earned a lot of money but just think he could of had much bigger fights.

Fury v Joshua deal signed. Should have happened ages ago but I will still watch. This will follow AJ's comeback fight against Kristian Prenga(?) in July. Would be funny if Joshua lost that one.

If he loses that, he will fight fury anyways.

Fury is likely to have a warm up too
