What kind of set up do you use for this mate? I've been wanting to get into macro photography for ages but no idea what is a good "beginner" setup. As sad as it sounds I love me insects and been wanting to get pictures like this as a hobby.

Quite complex m8 this;

A Canon 70D SLR, with a 100mm Canon Macro lens, and 2 extension tubes as well, with a remote triggered off-camera flashgun in a softbox, and the camera triggered by a remote cable using Live View...

The background was a piece of wood behind in case the spider moved away from the stone - and it came in handy as you can see the brown background from the wood in #4.
