It's been an average start. People claiming it as something it isn't are just setting us up to fail. Desperate to cling on to anything.

There are some serious concerns in our approach to the game. Losing 2-0 leads isn't acceptable and picking players like Baines and Jagielka, knowing they're done, is also a concern.

Obviously there are players still to come in and hopefully that will help us.

Nothing short of three home wins on the run now is good enough.

If we get the two home league wins you’re mentioning them we will have 11 points from 5 games. That’s 1 point over the ppg ratio required to get you into the conversation for CL football. Considering the absolute dross playing squad Silva picked up on the back of a World Cup year with injuries and suspensions galore that wouldn’t be the worst start imaginable. We have to win them first though.

You make @davek look positively upbeat.

Only stating what I’ve seen. I’d be less concerned if I thought Silva losing leads was a one-off, if I hadn’t seen his Watford team throw 2 goals away to end up getting beat by one of the worst Everton teams in memory, managed by Unsworth.

3 games, mate. 3 games.
And warning signs are there.

I’m expecting him to make the changes in the coming weeks. Mina and Zouma to come in, Digne to come in and Gomes to come in. That’s when I will form my full opinion on him.

But let’s not beat around the bush and claim this as some sort of turnaround. It’s 5 points against three teams who will all be around 11th-18th this season.

I agree but last year we all could see their wasn’t a cohesion, a plan or the right mix of players. I think this is different this year.
You’re correct in the sense that I feel we can score a lot more goals, but the defence is still a major concern. Hopefully with the introduction of Digne, Mina and Zouma, that will change.

I love the way most agreed that this season would be a transition season and would be happy with top 10 then moan we are not top and running away with it.
