Like who?! They've all turned us down!
You don't know that do you ? Have we approached the Burnley fella, or Eddie Howe to name just two. we don't know, but someone has panicked and appointed Fat Sam with 75 points up for grabs, it's an awful knee jerk decision.

Will you Boo Big Sam if he is presented as the new Manager before kick-off against West Ham? I'm sorry, it's just that there are so many mad threads going up... I felt left out lollollol
Just on this and I know you mean it in jest, I’m not anti-boo, but to boo a new manager before he’s even done anything is silly.

He’s come to hopefully keep us up not take us down, and he hasn’t got us in this situation.

I can think of at least four people I’d boo before him.

no manager is bigger than the club but writing him
off seems a bit heavy like, we need to stay up were in a relegation battle
he's done fine with the crap he's had doing that so maybe it might work out.

Indeed.

It would be quite extraordinary if the club had agreed and Sam had signed a contract and he was not introduced to the crowd as our new guvnor.

It is what every club does....the caretaker picks the team and remains in charge as the new fellow watches on from the stands.

In normal circumstances it boosts both the crowd and the team.

That we might not do it tonight shows just how much even our board know it to be an unpopular appointment.

Now, I do not believe for one moment there would be widespread booing if it was announced tonight.

There would be no great negative reaction from the crowd.

But nor would there be any enthusiasm either......and at the heel of the hunt, that would be tantamount to the same thing:pint2:
If it's announced early enough today I won't be there to find out mate. But looking at the feelings in here and on other Everton fan sites, I think you may be surprised at just how deep the anti Sam sentiment runs. At best, I think there will be moot applause, mixed with a scattering of boos. At the very least I expect jeers/laughter from the West Ham support which will probably drown out any home reaction anyway. That in itself tells me enough about the guy.

If he isn't presented to the fans, then that proves that the board know how unpopular the appointment is. Which in itself tells me all I need to know about the current board too.

What a 'kin mess this all is mate. Lowest point in Everton life.

Who are "they".? Do you know?. Are they all the managers out there? Of course not.

Sam Allardyce is probably the only manager that would cause so much upset and bad feelings amongst the fans. If he's appointed, which seems inevitable now, it will polarise the fans and in itself create more vitriol within the ground. If the board want to avoid this then don't appoint him. Your answer is to stop life long Evertonians expressing their opinion. You're beginning to sound like Elstone mate.

Yes, I posted this for a bit of fun... life's far too short to be getting in a twist all of the time; especially over football. Personally, I would never boo any player or manager. Once they've signed their contract they are one of us, and will get my backing.

To be honest, I have a feeling that Big Sam will do a lot better with us than we anticipate... only time will tell, I guess.

The alternative view is that he comes in and we get relegated anyway. In the meantime he brings in a load of journeymen on silly wages that we can't offload (just as Koeman did) and has completely ruined the development of an unusually large group of young players full of potential. We can't afford to pay him and his cronies off because the most of our TV revenue has disappeared. The football is crap, the fans begin to disappear and we're in a downward spiral.

Those fans who wanted him appointed will get no more than they deserve.
Don't think any of the fans "want him" it's just that no top draw manager "wants us"
