He's a wrecking ball of a striker which honestly works best with what we have right now. His ability on the ball is obviously very inconsistent but he will always put himself about does a lot of work for us. If he does end up going in the summer we better have the right profile in mind to replace him cause Barry definitely does not match what he brings at all.

Honestly if we sell him instead of Barry, I’m going absolutely ballistic.

Can stay next season if he’s happy on the bench/squad player. Better than Barry but not good enough to be starting 11 for any team with serious aspirations of Europe and won’t ever be.

The bar needs to be higher than Barry who is one of the worst I've seen.

Style of play makes a massive difference. You have to allow him to create space. He is not a striker that excels when stationary or to feet. That is a strikers goal. We play this style all year and he never would have been dropped.

He’s garbage mate. As that 1v1 showed. Shot went near the corner flag. If this club has serious aspirations for European football, he needs moving on a striker that can get you at least 15 goals, needs bringing in.

Easier said than done, and tbf to Beto if he finishes the season in this form he’ll be around that number, definitely would’ve if we didn’t waste so much time on Barry earlier in the season

Right now only a handful of players have scored more than Beto. To bench Beto, you would need to sign one of the 20 or so players who have one or more goals greater than him for that decision to be helpful for the squad.
