I love him, there I’ve said it.
Don’t think I’ve ever seen a player work so hard!
Wish all are players worked so hard

Delap played 13 minutes.Fantastic today, head and shoulders ahead of that Delap
Agree and yet I am hopeful that because he had such an incredibly late start in professional football, he still has room to grow.Never going to be a 20-a-season striker, but cannot fault his commitment, work ethic and attitude.
Gives it all in every match, chases down everything and that's going to pay off in games like the Chelsea match.
We still need an upgrade in the striker position absolutely, but I have a lot of time for him.
Depends if we looked to play that type of through ball more often I wouldnt put it past him...Never going to be a 20-a-season striker, but cannot fault his commitment, work ethic and attitude.

Deffo, the players seem to like him as do the fans (generally).Mistake to move him on in the summer IMO, especially if we get some form of European football.
The kind of lad you want in your squad.
Nah should have been sold last summer. Cant be our 1st choice as hes been terrible for most the season and you can’t bring him on if you’re chasing a game and defenders are playing deep and you wouldn’t bring him on to protect a lead and retain possession.Mistake to move him on in the summer IMO, especially if we get some form of European football.

Delap showed me actually what we are woefully missing. A striker that we can play a ball into feet.Fantastic today, head and shoulders ahead of that Delap
Beto is a better finisher when put through one-on-one. DCL is better in the air, obviously. Not far off Dominic Calvert Lewandowski goal tally for the season now.
Beto in 1 v 1 situations is either a shocking miss or a worldie and no inbetween to be honest. He's currently hitting more worldies luckily for usBeto is a better finisher when put through one-on-one. DCL is better in the air, obviously.
We just don't play enough to his strenghts. Garner showed the way yesterday.

Remember when he went on his scoring run last season then we played Bournemouth (possibly) who had clearly done their prep better, and the defence stood off, didn't let him get in behind and our whole plan fell apart. Playing to strengths is fine against half arsed teams and naive managers, as soon as it’s nullified he doesn’t have enough to do anything else.We just don't play enough to his strenghts. Garner showed the way yesterday.
