2025/26 Beto

He has so many flaws, so many.

However he has a couple of things that at times can conquer all of them. Desire and hard work.

He was fantastic last night, if he can do that more regularly, you keep him.

Equally performances like that will mean he’s easier to shift in the summer. He has one year left and is 28, can’t see the club giving him a new lengthy contract, and in honesty they shouldn’t because he’s not good enough.

I said it many times over the months if one had to go out the 2 forwards. It's Barry by a mile, i would hope Moyes thought that, but i doubt it. I would a 100% keep Beto and get a new forward. But i half think Moyes will either keep both or let Beto go

If we play to Beto’s strengths he will score. He loves through balls thrives off those balls played forward into him he’s getting better in the air winning balls and hold up play you can tell he’s training hard and loves the club. Just like any striker you’re not going to score every game but when he gets a good ball I always have the feeling he will bury it. I would certainly keep him we do need a quality striker in the summer but at times when we just don’t play doesn’t matter who the striker is if they don’t get quality service they simply won’t score. We need better fullbacks ones who whip on good crosses we haven’t had that and Beto could have had more goals if that were the case. He gives his all and that I love

This feller would run through a brick wall for Everton. He's so humble too.

He might not be the most skilful player but he's genuine and he can sometime be very effective. Hardly ever gets the credit he deserves.

We need new strikers this summer but I'd like to see him retained. He's turning into a cult hero.
With your posts, I normally either just shake my head sadly at the folly of it all, or get incandescent with rage and compose some highly snotty reply in my head, but then never post it because it'd be too aggressive. In this case, however, I agree with every single syllable of your excellent post. Well said, mate.

I’ve said it a few times, but I do believe Beto will get you 15 goals a season at least, if we play to his strengths like we did yesterday, the balls into feet with his back to goal isn’t the way he plays, running onto the balls, which I must say yesterday the 2 assists, 2 through balls to him, were brilliant, and well the first finish was brilliant.
