Rooney against Arsenal for me. Not just the brilliant goal but who it was scored by and when. For a 16 year old kid who we thought was the future to do that against an unbelievable Arsenal side, winning it for us late on to break their record was boss. To top it all off he was a proper blue. It felt like after the years of gashness under Walter Smith we finally had someone who would bring us success. We know how that turned out like, but yeah.

Plus: Baines vs Newcastle, Osman vs Larissa, McFadden vs Charlton, Arteta vs Bolton, Mirallas vs West Ham, Arteta vs Fiorentina, Cahill overhead vs Chelsea, Beckford vs Chelsea, Steve Watson overhead vs Bolton, Mirallas vs Spurs etc.

Anyone remember Radzinski vs Southampton? Not as good as those above, but a good goal at a great moment. Boss from the little snide.

For us?

Horne vs Wimbledon or Bily vs Portsmouth on the last day of a season.

Beattie scored a couple of corkers for us too in his one run of decent form for us.

My fave will always be Hinchcliffes free kick against QPR in the last minute though.

Got to be Horne for me. Smashing goal and meant the absolute earth to us.

Still one of my best memoiries as an Evertonian (and I was only a kid). My dad took me to the game, and he's a Man U fan. He still talks about it to this day.
