Gone are the days when teams lobbed the ball into the box. I'm sure teams score fewer headers these days, hence a centre back needs pace, an ability to turn quickly and positional sense more than height.

A center back still needs pace I mean one on ones and all that.

He is a DCM if we are going to turn him all defensive. Why is this an actual thread when RK will sort the CB position anyway. Shall we move gana CB seeing as he has a ton of energy and likes a tackle!
Some would say Barry has played CB but we all know he isn't natural in that position. Mo could sit in for a game if absolutely necessary yes as lucas did for the RS. He is a midfielder and if he has a future at everton then this is were his strengths are. This talk of him man marking Messi is dull now, his job is to manmark which is what DCM do.

I don't see that. He is a hard tackler not a rash one. Never had a straight red in his career either by the looks of it (Well for a tackle, he was involved in the whole chewygate thing for B+H)

Might be a useful option on a Thursday night but can't see him playing too many Prem games at the back.

He's a good option, especially in Europe. Can tackle and has a good range of passing from that position. I prefer him as a number 6, though.
