Is Besic a CB?

  • Yes - I trust Koeman.

  • No - Is Koeman high?

  • I need to see more.

He's spent most of his career at centre back.
“I was a centre-back for five or six years. The World Cup (2014) was the first time I played as a No6 in midfield."
If he can stay fit, big if, he'll likely be given a chance in cup games.

Tell you what though you wouldn't be biting your fingernails if you had to throw him in there at CB in any given situation. I wouldn't say he's a 38 game a year starter, but I wouldn't be bricking it if he had to come on or start a match there.

Im gonna go with no.

Hes too small, Cannavaro, Koeman and other midget CBs didnt play in the Globetrotter era of the Premier League.

The reason he looks good at CB is cos hes a supreme footballer.

BUT

He could certainly very much do a job in a 3 and against some utter European fodder and he certainly wouldnt let us down, you can also count on 1 hand the amount of real "number 9s" that could terror him enough for his height to prove a problem.

In short, Mo could play in goal and look like a young Southall.

What you smoking fam? Seems decent like. Call me. X

He's played it before and looks very comfortable there. Said it would make sense last season, and I stand by it. With Keane next to him, he'd do ok.

He's the same height as me so I'm taking personal offence at some of the comments in this thread.

Just you lot wait and see; in 10 months time we'll be reading "PFA Player of the Year 2017/18 won by Everton defender Muhamed Besic"
