Such a frustrating player, because I know there is a quality baller in there somewhere.

He has absolute magic in his boots one minute, and looks like a Brazilian international superstar, and the next he looks like my son did when he was 3yo, and had just seen a football for the first time and didn't have a scooby doo what to do with it!

He actually looked bothered last night, and I loved all the little snidey stuff he was doing, like kicking the ball away after yet another Shoite refs decision.

Keep it up wee man!

They tried to make a thing of that, post match.
Saying the referee was booking players every time for hitting the ball away and the fact that he had just been booked, he should/could have been sent off.

I think he is too small and weak to make an impact from the wing.

His control is brilliant and he certainly can see and pick a pass .
I think he is best high up the field and in the middle where every touch can influence a game.

I've seen people say Bernard is 'weak' but it seems to be an almost prejudiced sentiment based on his small stature alone. As if oh he's small so he must be weak!
I've watched him closely in many games, and I've never really seen him getting bullied off the ball or being shy about getting stuck in and he's certainly not cowardly, being one of the few players who is actually willing to run at defenders. Can't fault his work rate either.

Can be very good at times, then mediocre, very frustrating player because he certainly has the ability. I would start him.

I don't think there is space for him to be this unless you think he is better than James or Richarlison.

Thought he did very well when he came on, as others have said it's so frustrating because he genuinely has ability with the ball that very few can match. If he had the consistency though he wouldn't have came to us on the free.

In all his time at Everton he’s never looked like a Brazilian superstar, not sure who you’ve been watching. Did ok v the worst team in the league.

He’s not good enough as a back up long term

No, youre right, I've never seen him look like a Brazilian superstar for Everton at all......

That's one example - there are others.

My point stands - he's a very frustrating, very skillful player, who hasn't done it enough for us during his time here.

I like him and dont think he gets enough time.

For me heabstill utter [Poor language removed]... sorry few little touches doesn't do it for me. Still too little weight and against better teams hes ineffective... sell (or give away as soon as please) either way just get shut
And then who would we have on the bench to bring on we we need to exert some control in possession, given 80% of our best footballers are already injured?

You need squad players, especially with our record with injuries an suspensions. And we'll need even more if we get European football next season.
