Can't see Berba wanting to come here, like, but if Sunderland and Newcastle are bidding we've got to be a more attractive option than those two surely?

He's exactly the player we need though. A ball playing number ten who scores goals (league's joint top scorer this season) and would play off Beckford.

I don't think he's objectively worth more than Rodwell but he's in a more useful position for our current needs.

I think Berbatov is a Newcastle fan? I agree though that you lot are far more of an attractive option then the teams up north.

The only player I can think off the top of my head who has done fantastically well is Wilshere....

Rodwell had 3 injuries during a season -- he needs a good u21 championship (guaranteed he will be englands best midfielder) and a full season without injury.

Who says he has no resale value anyway? He strikes me as the kind of player who'll still be going for a fair few years yet.
