I was never impressed at all. He made a couple of tackles but he was severely lacking technically and his passing range was non existent.

He played about three games in a really struggling team though, tbf.

Barkley struggled on loan at Leeds didn't he? I really believe a loan didn't have to be a raving 'success' to be beneficial.

Every appearance he made in the first team. That's the ones that matter.

He's been over hyped solely based on a firm challenge at Stamford Bridge.

He had an injury at Wigan didn't he?

I'm not saying he's definitely gonna cut it and if we had to rely on him I wouldn't be confident, but we can at least give it a bit longer before we (the fans) write him off completely.

Don’t mind Tim, he’s about my age (mid twenties) and it’s Sunday morning so he’s probably rough as balls and grumpy.

I'm just confused why some posters want to play loads of kids all the time. I don't want to be relegated.

They need to start taking first team opportunities.

I have no idea. I've never seen the lad Sosa play.

I have seen a lot of our own kids play and the lack of quality coming through under Unsworth is a major concern. Winning at u23 level is great but we need more quality individuals coming through. Technical ability is crucial and it's mostly missing.

it was all a bit strange, zero news about why he went missing.
i agree with your other point, its goin to be tough. if he had of played most of his time of loan we'd all have a better idea now about what his chances really are.

started 1, off the bench in a few others for a grand total of 192 minutes. hardly enough to say an 18/19 yr old (as he was at the time) is completely crap.
