Ben Foster on Everton fan negativity influencing opposition tactics

And yet we had a pretty poor home record with no fans in Goodison.

I don't think we're the most forgiving if we are on a crap streak seeing the same stuff week in and week out - either due to tactics or lack of effort etc. Some players seem to get it for perceived lack of effort or crapness. Tom Cleverly really sticks out here, perhaps the source of Foster's comments? Goodison DEFINITELY got into his underwhelming little head.

But which fans haven't done this at some point?

1. I'm not taking any flak from "The Cycling Goalkeeper".

2. The clown even says at the end that we get on their back when they are getting overrun or not pushing forward and attacking.

Do other fans not do this?

Opportunistic rubbish. He has been coming here with teams and losing for 15 years, Birmingham, West Brom, Watford - two spells. Wins a game 5 - 2 and thinks he can summise Evertonians. No mark using clichés.

The home results were awful during lockdown aswell in front of no fans. Who was he blaming for that, the pigeons?

Foster is just jumping on a bandwagon of pundits that use the term toxic. When you actually break down it is a collective sigh of frustration, anti Benitez banners and some supporters that stayed after a game to complain.
