Performance > result, so I wouldn't have been totally gutted if we'd lost. That we didn't was a very pleasant suprise to me.

Something's happening with us, something big.

....I thought it would be glorious failure. Its happened a few times there recently, but because we have died for the cause throwing bodies in front of the ball only to come unstuck with a bit of Arsenal brilliance. This was different, I thought it was a defeat but one where we had matched them from a football perspective. We do have that quality now with the likes of Gerry that means we always have a chance.

Just before Arsenal scored my thought was "We can win this"

When they scored I felt deflated but also defiant

I knew that even if we didn't score, we'd go down swinging

I basically love that. Last season I would have known it was over. This season I expect us to keep going

No. I thought we were going to lose 1-0 after having played out of our skins.

However, once we got level I thought we might nick it, that Lukaku run & shot could have taken the roof off.

My reaction to it was one of exasperation, but immediately followed by a round of applause for the effort the lads had put in, and then followed by a firm belief we'd be at them for 10 minutes straight for the equaliser.

When we got it, I was a bit surprised, but not much, as I have believed firmly for a good few years now that this is a talented squad and all it needed was a manager who had belief in that talent.

I love Everton right now, it's a joy to be a supporter.
