I gave it another go this morning and I can get Firefox up, just can't browse anywhere, get a message saying the system admin has prevented this operation or some bollocks.

Can you suggest anything?

That's too bad. Sounds like they are doing more than just preventing the drive from displaying. They may be blocking firefox by name, try re-naming it, oh, say... explorer.exe!

I didn't clarify, when Firefox opens, any web address you type in results in the System Admin block message.

Guess I am SOL.

Remember that really rich guy who bought a ticket to go into space? Mark Shuttleworth. He backs this linux distro and it is really good. Does wonders on that old PC hardware that can't run the newer, fatter, and buggier than ever Windoze. Hell, Explorer is just the tip of the iceberg on how bad of an OS it really is.

Browser wars nothing, change OS and support open data standards while breaking free from MS stranglehold. Sort of a digital Logans Run!
