Ban All Dangerous Dogs

nonsense so because some bellends own big dogs everyone else has to suffer? how about we just enforce the law for a change and throw the book at these scally's who use dogs as status symbols. We already have a dangerous dogs list in this country which is why pit bulls/ tosa's/dogo argentino's are banned, I have a boxer and a Bullmastiff both are naturally protective but they are on a lead at all times and kept away from guests in the house.

Problem with the UK is we ban the objects not the person, instead of banning dogs, guns, knives, cars etc etc. why not just keep these ****ers who dont abide by the law in the nick instead of joke sentences than makes me ashamed to pay my taxes

Micro chipping is compulsory over here. But it's not really prevention, it's culpability. Something needs to be done in the way of prevention, but besides banning dogs full stop, I dunno.

Haven't read it all, but as someone who has a big dog and a small dog back home - I have been getting bad looks by everyone, just because my lovable dog is a german shepherd.

The thing is, though, back home we have this rule that all big/medium-to-big (pitbull for example) dogs should have muzzles. I, although I can guarantee that my dog would stand by me and not run off, nor it would be aggressive, have microchipped it, because I feel it's the right thing to do.

Irresponsibility in the owners is what causes them to be awful, not the animals themselves.

Out of curiosity why did you choose those breeds as pets?

Boxer for their personality traits and bullmastiff for sercurity tbh in my old job I used to work nights and with my partner being alone in the house/ not knowing how to use my firearms lol its nice to know in the event of some scumbags trying to get in If I was out just the size of him is a deterrent enough. But the thing is these breeds are naturally protective but its the clowns who make them aggressive and walk round with them off the lead thats the problem, if one's of the lead in public and kills someone give the owner a manslaughter sentence that would sort it out.
