you'd think he's endured enough heartache with his wife passing only to now be subjected to Everton breaking his heart.

I kid I kid. love how the club does things like this.

A little bit too much man on man going on for me there tbh. A little uncomfortable to watch.
You may have missed the point then slightly.
The up for a man hug bit is ace, the fella deserved a bit of good news so fair play to the club for recognising that.

Really nice viewing, and reading the comments from other fans about how classy our club is isn't bad either. But we knew that already (y)

The fact that Leighton looks so uncomfortable, and yet is acutely aware how sensitive this is, shows what a top guy he is. Baines is right that it's insignificant compared to the loss of his wife, but this is something that family will never forget; that the club did something like this at the grieving husband's lowest point. An absolute fantastic gesture.
Yeah, it was publically released, but that wouldn't be without the family's wishes, and I doubt recording it on their camera's would be the same. They have this video for a lifetime now...
I *heart* you, Leighton Baines..

We just get it "right", dont we? This sort of stuff, "He aint heavy". Cannot just produce that. It is us.

Really enjoyed watching that, but felt very sad for Gordon.

Horrible mate. But in his worst moments, little things like this will cheer him up and the fact he'll be at the match next season is even better. Gets him out and doing something.

Love Everton
