Didn't realise there was a video. Made me choke up a bit that did. You can see the sincerity in Baines, what a top bloke and a top club.

Have to admit I had tears in my eyes at that.

Leighton is a top bloke, for some reason I loved when he introduced himself - instead of just expecting them to know who he is - with a "Hi, I'm Leighton". Great chap!

Can't have been easy for him, especially in front of the cameras, but he handed it well, and I think the fella absolutely appreciated it. Top work by the club, i thas to be said.

I love the bit "you up for a man hug?"

Same here, I'm at work so had to blink hard and blow my nose.
Well in Everton and Baines, proud of you.

Onya Bainsey.

My missus claimed not to like your sideburns, but everytime we play she just goes on about them.

Secretly she must really dig them.

That's excellent, I saw the Jagielka one as well and they're brilliant. What a gesture and what a club we are.

That is a lovely gesture. I think it's important that we give the club a pat on the back now and then for some of the things they do well. It really is a grand old team to support.

It shows that despite some of the ****e that happens on the pitch that we're still a great club in terms of working with the local community. Brilliant gesture.

'Hiya, I'm Leighton'.

What a guy, no ego in the slightest. How many footballers would introduce themselves like that?

seen a few of these now jags and howard were in ones two really great touch by the club brings a tear to the eye watching them should make every blue proud to be a blue

She definitely does. All women love sideburns, and beards.

Brilliant from the club. Vaguely related, and I dunno if I posted it before, might've done but this is my 90 year old gran, getting a picture signed to her from Moyes:

Football is just top, sometimes.

The club are fantastic for things like this.

About 10 years ago, my dad was in a serious, life threatening state after a car collision with a at the time well known actor, thinking he was owner of the road. Anyway, when my dad got out of hospital properly, a year or two later... I think my mother was ringing up trying to save his seat but sell it for a couple of years until he could go the match again (He didn't regularly go again until 2006ish) (Accident was in 2001)... Anyway, from that phone call, someone at Everton must have researched it and found out the seriousness... They sent out a singed pennant by the whole squad, a card, a signed ball as well I think. Was absolutely terrific. I'll see if I can find it.
