Maybe he thinks playing for Man United will help his England career?

Maybe he's more confident of being a 1st teamer under Moyes than Ferguson?

I don't know but I reckon he'll have considered it

I hope he stays at Everton.

Retaining him is more more important than retaining Fellaini I think

aye but he could have been at utd last year, turned them down, when if anything the case of it helping his england career was more a factor as hes already starting imo to edge out cole little by little
fair shout on why moyes, but i think he knew if he went their hed have started last year also, ferguson would LOVE his attitude as hes very like scholes in the way he conducts himself personally

retaining baines is the most important thing for martinez to achieve, closely follwed with retaining jags and super kev

Fellain can be easily replaced in a midfield role, especially as i cant see martinez using him in that pushed up role so the loss of goals is guaranteed anyways. for 24-28 million or whatever this release clause is then its a no brainer as long as it doesnt REPLACE any existing funds assure marty to spend

You should never get as attached to a player as I am Leighton...I remember when (season before last, I think) someone posted a pic of him on the pitch with his kids after the last game of the season. Maybe it wasn't even him, I dunno...but I do know it made me feel sick. Him leaving is defo a stick to beat me with but just understand, it's very cruel.

I don't think he'll leave, in fact some of the squad sound like they're looking forward to working with our new manager.

Getting more and more convinced he's going nowhere. Couple of weeks ago I was ****ting it, but a couple of the interviews he's given have just been too definitive sounding to think he'll then disappear off to Utd.

No chance he'll leave, he's not like other footballers. He's a grounded lad who knows he's lucky to be where he is. Yeah, he could earn a few more quid elsewhere but would he be as happy? Would he be as appreciated? Would be even play as much? He'd probably have to move homes, would it be worth it? There's a lot of things footballers have to take into consideration when moving clubs, a lot of them just see pound signs, Baines clearly sees the bigger picture and deserves massive respect for that. By far and away Moyes best signing imo

Can't see moyes going for him unless evra leaves. If he says moyes has evra, buttner and the wise choice if he wanted another LB would be Luke shaw.

If evra leaves tho, he'll need someone for the here and now and I'd expect baines to be the main target!

We have to keep Baines at all costs, even if we get a bid, we have to refuse it. Martinez job will be so much harder if he loses Baines, I don't care about his England chances and how he should be playing the CL, and how he can double his money. Cole will still be England Left back if Baines goes to Man u. I'm not a fan of the over-rated Champion League, Everything about the CL is what wrong with football. We have no control of Fellaini who will have a great season as he will be trying to impress for the world cup, but we are in control with Baines. We have to be tough like Spurs are with their players.

I agree. Cahill & Baines are Moyes two outstanding signings

Shaw is not ready for first team football at Man u, If the Evra rumours are true that he wants to move back to France then Moyes will deffo come for Baines.
