The unfortunate thing was that all we had to do today was not get battered. We can afford to lose to Arsenal, disappointing though it is. Even 4-1 would have been ok. Now though it's a landmark result, an anomaly. Next up we have probably the most important game of the season and yet again we're not ready for it. Better hope to **** we get some more players in or get some kind of positive reaction or something, otherwise a large part of the season will be gone already.

There were to CB's on the pitch to be fair. Yobo had just as much of a shocker.

Im unhappy but not too worried. Just a kick in the pants and things can only get better.

He wants to leave, that is very clear. His attitude during the game was fine though, he just got on with his job.

We got beat 6-1 because we where [Poor language removed], in a number of areas.

Yeah, but I've been hearing muttering about other players being unsettled. I don't buy Neville's excuse. I think the whole Man City thing has unsettled the team.

It can't be coincidence. They were all at sea, and I can't see how you can say Lescott had a good game when we conceded 6 goals.

There were two, and we conceded 6. Lescott has to shoulder the blame, and given that he clearly has seen his arse big time, I think we should look at him more than Yobo.

The same starting 11 would have put in a decent performance last year, and it'll come again this year. But the team does need to settle.
Moyes had said they were 'disrupted' by City's wallet waving, I didn't think too hard on this when it was said.
I'm not saying we don't need more players, we do. But however many players you've got, you need them to be a team and play like professionals. This goes for the manager too, who slipped up today.

I didn't, I said he was one of the best of a bad bunch. And he was, I'm sure alot of people agree with me, whether they hate him or not.

There where a number of reasons we lost today. Poor defending, individual mistakes, lack of creativity and to be honest, a clinical Arsenal side.

The Lescott situation hasn't helped but it isn't the main reason we lost - that's just a poor excuse.

Going into the season without signing any players, for me, is the biggest reason we where weak today. But that's another story.

I noticed a few times that players did not want to pass to Lescott.
There has to be major problems in the dressing room over the whole saga.

mm I was on to that.

He seemed to be standing there twiddling his thumbs a lot of the time.

Saying that, I probably wouldn't have noticed it with him as much if it wasn't for the whole transfer thingy.

Everyone was just as bad.

You could see on Lescott's face he clearly didnt wanna be here. Looks at Fabregas's goal. Lescott stood 8 metres away and did nothing. The blame cant go soely on Lescott, not one player stood out to me today.

Everyone can talk about Moyes needing bodies in so we can have an ok season. Thats all well and good, but any players we get in are gonna have no preseason with us and its gonna take time for the team to gel.

IMO...Moyes, Kenwright, the Board, who ever is to blame, need there head's checked. This is two season's in a row now this has happened us (quality in) and this season it starting to show, only one game in being as it may.

He's potentially facing a hostile crowd against a super flowing attacking team.

I would have been shitting my pants personally.

And for Moyes not to play him would have looked like he was going to sell him, which he has been saying he doesn't want to all along.

He said himself he did not want to play. That would be enough for me to drop him. Moyes was too stubborn to drop him.

I think that Lescott will play like that for the next few games in an attempt to get sold. Then when he doesn't, he'll put his arse back in gear for the world cup.
