Bad ref decisions - for and against - season 2025/26

need to reach out to spurs here, it's all very well and funny when Everton get robbed most weeks but this kind of thing could end up costing someone else, someone else like spurs. Everton might have gotten used to accepting such flagrant rule breaking but now it's harming one of the media darlings. Things need to change. Justice for Everton, and then by extension also spurs!!!

And given a goal kick.

Its the goal kick that genuinely blows my mind.

Also why wasnt the ref sent to the screen? (I mean i know why its corrupt)

Its not up to var to make a on field decision. As soon as they saw the hand ball and the ref hadn't he should of been sent the screen to make a informed decision.

we should ask for the audio on that

I hate their explanation of it being an accident. Like, yes 95% of handballs that are given as penalties are not accidental, that isn't an adequaate explanation whatsoever. And with the grappling take, don't wrap your arms around a striker in the penalty area? Like Jake O'Brien's against Arsenal, he goes up for a header, and in doing so, uses his arms for levearge and to grapple with an opponent, and accidentally it hits his hand.
There's no way 95% of handball pens are not accidental. Most I see are accidental in that they are ball to hand.
That today was hand to ball for starters so can't even be considered accidental imo
