Attending the Dallas Cup this week

I'd echo a lot of what @maccavennie and @Eggs have said.

The players I've seen the most are Ledson and Kenny, imo both have a good chance of being around the 1st team squad next year if not sent out on loan. Dowell and Walsh have been namechecked by Martinez in the past as being possibles.

Two I haven't seem much of and am looking forward to are Henen, who has been on a good scoring run in the Everton U21s the past couple of months and Holland, who had an excellent game for the England U17s earlier in the week.

Great competition for them to be in, hope they do well.

Yep I hadn't heard of Holland LL until you posted about him a few days ago so will be interesting to see how he fares. I really liked the look of Henen against the RS a couple of weeks ago. Considering he was up top on his own I thought he ran the channels well and stretched them when given the opportunity. Tired towards the end but put a shift in. He's got something about him imo, don't know if it's enough to get Everton to sign him but he's definitely improved since he first signed on loan and Unsworth has praised him for his effort.

I've been seeing Holland's name mentioned quite a few times in the past couple of months, don't know if it is just a good run of form or if he has had one of those sudden jumps in development that kids can have.

The issue with Henen appeared to be less his talent than his attitude but he seems to have settled in very well and to be working hard. As you say, being lone frontman is tough.

Also looking forward to seeing River plate - think they won the tournament last time so should be a tough match.

Yep, definitely helps that it's against good opposition as well as they should be a very technically gifted side. Does anyone know what time this game kicks off u.k time?
