Tbh it’s a subjective offside, so they should have referred it back to the ref.

But we see a lot of those ruled out now tbh.
My biggest issue is that I no longer truly understand the offside rule because it's applied so inconsistently week in, week out.

I can understand why it was disallowed, but then you have times with players stood offside, in front of the keeper's view, and it's given. Make it make sense.

Yeah it's just a cross and a header. Regulation goal over 150 years of football but not today (weird).

Buendia is shorter than Armstrong so it was impossible for him to head it. O'Brien owned the guy marking him.

Nonsense to rule it out.
For the majority of the time the offside rule has existed, there was never the concept of a player ‘not interfering’ with play.

This is @davek ‘s new trick: Massively play down the opposition, no matter how good, and equally play down any problems we have re squad fitness/availability.

That way, when we don’t get a result, it can only, therefore, be down to poor management, and if we DO manage what would be an excellent win, he can avoid praising Moyes by saying “see? I told you they were crap.”

Transparent, but enjoyable nonetheless.
As enjoyable as a kick in the balls with a steel toe cap boot .
