That is a lazy stance as well, my side tells the news , the other side don't.

Not everything is lies, sometimes a difference of opinion on a subject is perfectly valid. Dismissing it as wrong or lies or whatever else is the real danger ther days. Shutting down an entire side of a discussion because you don't agree with it.

Going with the motion that fox news doesn't report any news , maybe it doesn't. Does it not have news bulletins like a UK news channel has? I can't say I have ever stuck it on to watch it.
I long for the days when we can get back to a difference of opinion on matters, when the nuances contributing to the difference of opinion are rooted in facts.

Those days, I fear, are long, long gone

They are literally not showing or reporting on the biggest news story, by any objective definition, in the US right now.

It's because it's not the "news" their base wants to see.

Isn't that concerning, from a "news" source?
Yes it is, I haven't doubted that hence me saying American news outlets in general are unreliable. When news turns into opinions of the news , it's unreliable. If a news network is known more for someone famous for sharing their opinion rather than the quality of the reporting then it's not worth your time. Unless you want to hear your own thoughts repeated back.

Popularity politics. People , mainly on social media to be fair are willing to repeat a belief without ever understanding why. That's the source of it, as long as something has a slogan to hashtag then the details don't matter.

I don't mean that in a direction despite recent examples, could well easily be the other side doing it. It would still happen, it's how social media works for the kids.

America's one chance to apply some culpability for a politicians actions if it's proven to be true.
There have been two previous attempts, each clearly meeting the standard, though by no means the only offenses by Trump fitting the standard. Both failed due to party politics.

I fear no matter how much evidence, no matter how damning and clear to sane people - if it comes down to holding the powerful accountable there is little chance, if any, that it will happen in a political setting.

A courtroom in NYC or NY State? Better chance.

Fox News is literally not showing any of this. Think about that. A supposed news organization that 40% of America watches is NOT EVEN COVERING the hearings.

The "right" has successfully created an alternate reality. 40% of our populace cannot be swayed to believe Trump and his administration did ANYTHING wrong.
At the time of Watergate, Roger Ailes wanted to launch a 'News' Network that promoted conservative talking points and defended Republicans including Nixon. He never got it, but he became CEO of Fox 'News' and that's all they've ever been. However when called out on lies in court they have defended themselves by saying their main anchors Tucker Carlson and Hannity are opinion hosts and they 'wouldn't expect their viewers to believe their views as it is entertainment'
They aren't showing the Jan6 hearings because they are complicit. Hannity's texts were involved in tonights hearing for example

In addition, there was mention the AG's office thought the claims against Dominion Voting Systems were bunk.

Dominion Voting Systems is suing FOX News for $1.2 billion in damages.

Ah yes, that's right! Fox just want this over as soon as possible so they can go back to sewing discontent and anger among other things. Horrible Network
