A contract extension?
As someone with no Blue tinted specs, I can see why you’d feel as you do.
SD either has zero money, or he’s saving what he has for a more important position. Its hard to know.
You guys will have better knowledge of your financial situation - but I thought you’d have to be buying a packet of crisps away from breaching FFP.
Maybe the Gordan to Newcastle money resolved that for you.
Is this going be a perpetual problem (money) for you, or is it solely until you get this new stadium up and running.
The fact that Ashley Young is your first signing is probably why most of you feel the way you do, as it does seem underwhelming.
What I will say is he was also a Target for Burnley while he was with us. I also expect Young to be a consummate professional and should serve your club well.
I just hope for your sakes - this window isnt like the one where all we got was Dale Stephens.
You can only kick the can down the road for so long and relegation catches up with the rest of your ageing squad. We know only too well.
I do worry for you in the transfer market. SD is so much of a stickler for only having players with good character, its unreal.
