Waste of a contract.
Got 2 players at RB and Garner whose capable of filling in.
Need a better LB to start than what we currently have so getting a 38 year old right footed back up for LB would be a complete waste of whatever little money we have.
At worst take a punt on Ryan Manning for free as a back up LB, 10 assists last season in the championship, entering his prime years and is a better natural fit and the type of player Dyche took punts on with Burnley regularly (Lowton, Taylor, Ward, Pieters)

Plus its great that he's used them as a stepping stone and we'll get to see the best of him as he develops and then becomes our first choice left back for years to come.

Totally agree it's what we've been missing the past 6 years , I can't believe we've got our man.
His age + his wages are probably why, it's money that can go towards a younger option.

I have already commented that he was excellent for Villa last season and most Villa fans were disappointed he didn't get a 12 month extension. He was keeping Cash and Digne out of the starting 11 for us last season. If he was one of only two or three signings for Everton this summer I think it would be very underwhelming, however, if Everton get a couple of decent strikers in this window and some wide and creative players in the middle then I think Young would be a good addition that will cost relatively little for a season. He can play in many different positions and is still a good player imo
