Transfer Rumour Ashley Young

He's a versatile utility player - and with our budget may well be a shrewd signing. Just as long as we get 6 or 7 other players and clear out Gbamin Gomes Godfrey Holgate Maupay. I'm suprised we didn't try and get Milner - as with Young - 10 years too late. I'd like us to pick up that Angel Gomes from the u/21 team.

what budget is that 😂

Buying someone who may be developed into a first choice isn't a luxury we have. We're skint and the last few years has dictated the priority and focus is unfortunately to stay in the Premier League.

Any money we have after sales needs to be spent on forward players.

Sure, we need a left back because Mykolenko is terrible but it comes down to how much money we can spend.

We had no full backs in the run in at all last season. We need a squad.

I know I know.

I just can't justify this has being "great" or "good". It's functional. Practical.

It's head above water stuff.

There’s a massive difference though; James Milner will be used for his experience in certain games and game management for a very good attacking team.

Ashley Young will more than likely start most games for us.

Not to mention; we also put an offer in for 37 year old James Milner

Adam Lallana is a coach there too, so no doubt had a word. And you never no, he may have been offered a coaching job along the way.

Overall...theirs will be well planned.

Ours....
