For a man who supposedly lives and breaths football tactics it is crazy that he continues to blindly lead the team down the swanny. He really mustn't be that bright. He spent 14 million on a forward and won't throw him on when 2 nil down. Can someone tell him we will continue to leak goals if he plays Baines and colman ahead of our wingers. They are defenders ffs. It leaves the center back 2 totally exposed. All teams know how to play against us now.

Take lukaku out this team, where would we be?

That's the bigger issue. Because soon he won't be here, but martinez will be, and if we allow Martinez to literally drag us down to a relegation fight at a third attempt then it will just be a joke.

I mean how can you have a manager who relegated a team after his previous TWO predecessors failed to do and then literally wait for him to do the same here?

First of all, that sentence is just horrible. Try some punctuation. Secondly: about 99% of us wanted Besic to play with McCarthy today. It did not work, at least not today. Hindsight and all that..
What creativity does the headless chicken macarthy ever give going forwards?
sorry about my point but on my i pad with a bad shoulder!

As bad a performance I've seen at home this season since the ManUre defeat.

Unfortunately, we are seeing phase 2 of Martinez = a team of mid-table mediocrity.
Phase 3 = fighting relegation.
Phase 4 = relegation.
Wigan supporters will recognise the above 100%.

As I have said before, Martinez has the tactical vision of Blind Pugh.

We all knew they would play an on-the-ground passing game, particularly in the middle third, taking them on to the attacking third. There appeared to be no plan whatsoever to stifle that, and in the first half, if we are honest, they could/should have had a 3 or 4 nil lead.

I felt sorry for Lukaku today - no service or support whatsoever.

Martinez has taken the club as far as he can, and his continued failures last season and this season are being masked at present by an FA Cup run.

It's time for change at the end of the season, whether we win the Cup or not...

Agree 100%, nice to win the cup but league form for two seasons is worrying.
