Our gameplan was fine. Its almost impossible to create a ton of chances against Arsenal with the way they play. Even the game they lost at home to United was due to a world class goal by Cunha from long range.

The issue was we made a mistake right at the end when it matters.
Our gameplan was fine if damage limitation was the goal. We didn't need to make loads of chances. We needed players who could get on the ball and keep it.

We need better players and more adventure to get results against the likes of this Arsenal side. Giving them 70% of the ball will inevitably end up killing us. Pressure eventually tells.

They did very little with the ball. You can let this Arsenal team have the ball a lot of the time as long as you limit their counter attacks and set plays. They aren't a good footballing side. They are an incredibly effective, organised, solid, and more expensive version of a Moyes side.

People talk about Arteta learning from his time with Pep. But It’s very very clear his style came from Moyes' influence.

The NFL is boring, and I never played it.

I prefer to watch an entertaining game, which is why I am so frustrated with Moyes.
Arguably our best performance this season under the circumstance. Think you're a bit of a wind up. Clearly also never played football or have deep routed tactical understanding.

We'd lost already, the difference is we made Dowman's stock rise even more (which is unbelievable, given the studio/Sky commentary, as he's already the best 16 year old player in the universe).
I don't understand why they're all up his hoop

Crossed to Pickford who flapped, followed by the easiest goal in the world with the keeper gone up in no man's land

He may be a boss player and turn out to be elite, but it's hardly Messi levels today

What match winner did we have to put on? Squad still highly limited
Agree, not expecting a match winner ( esp off our bench )but we basically conceded midfield to them 2nd half.

Garner to the middle, with Patterson to cover in natural RB slot might've helped).

Tyrique might have added pace to counter. Rohl has scarcely kicked a ball all season, that won't have changed after tonight :)

Harrison off it for the first, albeit not to blame, asking a lot for a 5 yr old to get to the pace of the game Vs Arsenal away, as they're pressing for a goal.

Just weird late subs that added nothing to us and exposed young players.
