The answer? Hardly. I'm just a bit tired of folks completely destroying a player who actually has something to offer, and has hardly been able to show it mostly due to fitness.
Can't help with the tiredness. Can help with the "completely destroying".
Kone is the latest "victim" of cynicism. He wants to earn a living; he didn't want to be injured; it wasn't his "fault" he was bought by Everton. As far as I know he's a decent bloke doing the bet he can.
His best, however, is open to comment. My observation is that he's a worker with a few strong points who is unlikely to prove anything other than yet another of the workhorses who fill a space and will lead the club nowhere.
It isn't surprising given the level of hype that R M uses that some supporters get frustrated and, possibly, overreact. That frustration increases when the Ministry of Truth cohort defend the indefensible in various forums.
Kone will eventually score a couple of goals. Doesn't mean he's anything other than cavity wall insulation.
Not his fault: just another unit on the production line of mediocrity we've come to specialise in.
